ROYAL BLUE boucle skirt SUIT 1940's 1950's wool or blend S (E9)
Bright royal blue skirt suit, 1940's style but probably actually 1950's judging from the zipper and smaller shoulder pads. It's not a true boucle, but it's a 'chunky'/fuzzy wool or wool-blend weave that is a little but naturally nubbly-textured, so boucle is the closest way to describe weave/texture. Picture 10 is a fabric close-up. The jacket is fully lined, the skirt is lined in the bum. Side metal zip and button closure on the skirt, and the jacket has original covered buttons. The skirt is slightly A-lined but wears pretty straight, and sits high on the smallest part of the waist. Excellent condition! Please compare the measurements below with pieces you have at home that fit well.
