HANDMADE 1960's VINTAGE SKIRT tweed wool winter straight L
Tag says "Handmade by Frances Robinson". Tweed-y like wool weave, see picture 5 for close-up of texture. This skirt is made up of black, oxblood red, and loden green threads, so it has an almost 'iridescence', for lack of a better word. Look at the fabric at one angle, and the red is prominent, look at it from another angle and it looks more green. That's why I had to work so hard to get the actual 'discoloration' to show up… under normal wear, this just appears fine, but in pictures 1 & 2 especially, you can see it's definitely lighter on the 'lap' area. It's not actually a true fade, I think there's just more red threads in those areas, like it truly is an anomaly of the fabric itself. Now that I'm at home, in normal light, I can hardly tell, but in the bright lights of my shop, I can see it better. Also changes with the angle, as does the entire skirt. Two back kick pleats, side zip closure. I don't know if the zipper is original, it's a smooth nylon Talon.
