GOLDEN YELLOW 1940's SKIRT mid length S M 40's (A2)
Late 1940's/early 1950's era woven skirt, possibly rayon, but I can't say for 100% certainty that it doesn't have wool in it. Breathable and smooth, not sheer. Golden yellow color, not quite mustard, but going that direction. Cut slightly A-lined (picture 4), but hangs straight when on. Front kick pleat, side Conmar metal zip closure and button waist. This has apparently been hemmed, and then the hem was let back out, you can see a trace of the former hem crease. The only 'issues' I see is that the kick pleat has opened a bit more than original, so the original apex was reinforced from the inside with a small iron-on patch (pictures 5 and 6). Also picture 8 shows a very faint stain I found on the lower right... Doesn't detract, no one else will ever notice, but I like to disclose everything I find, so you know exactly what you're getting. The black jacket seen in the pictures is listed separately. The skirt measures 29" at the waist, 39.5" at hip/bum (the level of the zipper base), and it's 31.75" long.
