EARLY 1950s COTTON DRESS maybe feedsack fabric S 50's (B4)
Please read, and look at the pictures, this has a flaw that will need to eventually be fixed. I was told this dress is made of feedsack fabric, but I haven't found any proof... Feed sacks were printed in a ton of prints/colorways over several decades, so it's hard to verify. Also, many times that same pattern would have been available on a bolt, too. But this is pieced in feedsack sized pieces, so it's a possibility (if this was a bolt fabric, this would have been able to have been made with less seams). 1950's era, soft turquoise blue with white and black. Small zipper at the back of the neck. Pictures 8, 9, and 10 show a flaw on the back right waist. There is a triangle shape hole, it's actually a vertical tear that is open wide because the gather stitching came out of the waist there. This is fixable, but not without leaving a scar. As you can see in the pictures, I just put a wide belt on, and you can't see it at all. so if you're planning on sashing or belting this, the flaw and future repair won't be a big deal. Priced accordingly. There's a tiny nick in the neckline edge, but nothing that detracts or necessarily needs repair. This needs to be loose on you, because the only closure is the short back zipper, there is no side closure. I think that's how the waist got torn, someone trying to get into it that maybe shouldn't have. :) I wear a US S, and this fits me well, especially when belted. The measurements could not necessarily be 'maxed out' or fully filled-out, because you won't be able to get this on and off.
