COPPER vintage SILK SKIRT edwardian petticoat 1908 xs S
Super-fine silk weave skirt from 1908. This was actually an UNDERskirt, like a petticoat, it was worn under a wool skirt suit for the original owner's "going away" outfit after her 1908 wedding. Nowadays you can certainly just wear it by itself like a skirt! This closes in back with 3 hook/eye closures. There are a few little moth holes here and there, and a tiny tear near the hem (pictures 9 and 10). Below the hook/eye closures it appears it had at one time torn straight down 4.5", but then was repaired (picture 8). Does not detract, just looks like a seam. The waist is 24.5" right now, but the waist eye closure could easily be moved over 1" to make the waist 25.5" if needed. 38" long. Such wonderful, wearable condition for a piece over 100 years old! This comes to me from the original owner's granddaughter, and has been cleaned. Check out my other listings, I love to combine shipping!
