1930's LITTLE GIRLS DRESS toddler navy taffeta 5 6
Another one of my daughters' dresses I wished was in MY size! :) 1930's "Little Star Frocks" soft taffeta dress, navy with red collar. I had to lighten some of the pictures, to better show detail. This will present VERY well for photographs, etc, but it's 80 years old!! So it does have a few little quirks: - The velvet ribbon trim running around the hem probably used to be red, but is currently pink, it has faded over time (picture 5) - The snaps at the back of the neck (there were 2) are missing (picture 9), have been like that ever since we got it, I just put a pin in it for her to wear. - There apparently used to be decorative buttons in the center of the bodice... You can only tell when you hold this up to let a light shine through it, you see the 'ghost stitch' marks where buttons or a trim was. It may have gone down to the waist, as there's a tiny slit in the waist right in the center (picture 6 is a close-up of that area). Wouldn't this be over-the-top cute with some little red buttons put on? I always planned to do it, but never actually did it, and now my girls have grown right out of this. Overall, clean and wearable! She's going to look simply ADORABLE! Tagged as size 6 1/2, this fit our daughter at 5/6 modern sizing. 13" PTP, and 24.5" long.
